Laura A. Sellers

Fredericksburg District (Term expires June 30, 2026)

Laura A. Sellers of Stafford, Virginia, is a clinically trained, forensic social worker with a background supporting local, federal and international law enforcement agencies. Sellers currently works for JMark Services as a counterintelligence/counterterrorism policy subject matter expert supporting a contract with the Department of Defense. 

Sellers was elected to represent the Garrisonville District on Stafford County’s Board of Supervisors from 2014-2017, serving as Vice Chairman to the Board in 2015 and 2016. As the Garrisonville Supervisor, Sellers served on three regional transportation boards: the George Washington Regional Commission, the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission. These boards provide policy guidance and long-range planning for regional and state transportation projects. Laura Sellers currently serves as the Garrisonville district representative to Stafford County’s Planning Commission. 

Sellers was born on Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated from North Stafford High School in Stafford, Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology from North Carolina State University and her Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She currently resides in Stafford with her son.
