Henry “Hap” Connors Jr.

Fredericksburg District (Term expires June 30, 2022)

Hap Connors specializes in strategic marketing and communications for businesses, nonprofits, and government entities. Currently, he works as the chief operations officer for Richlynd Federal, LLC. Prior to Richlynd Federal, he worked with federal, state, and local government officials, serving as the vice president of the Center for Innovative Technology’s (CIT) Department of Government and Public Affairs.

Prior to working for CIT, Connors served as the vice president of marketing and business development for Apollo Telemedicine, Inc. He is also a veteran of public service, having served as a member of the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors and on numerous boards in the Fredericksburg area.

Because of his commitment to innovation and technology, Connors helped the Commonwealth Transportation Board develop a subcommittee that focuses on new ideas and projects geared toward the future of transportation, including autonomous vehicles and real-time message signs.

Connors also works closely with VDOT’s Innovation and Technology Program, which has more than a dozen projects in the works totaling $74 million for the next six years. He strongly believes that Virginia can become a leader in transportation innovation while also creating jobs and businesses.
